Dear Reader,

A few of you wrote me after last week’s letter.

One sentence stuck with me:

“I lay on the floor with one hand on my belly, and suddenly the word blue made me cry.”

That’s exactly it. The door doesn’t always open with noise. Sometimes it’s a color. A breath. A sensation without a name - Thank you for sharing.

This week, something else came to visit.

Old & familiar.

The protector.

Mine’s been around for a long time.

It doesn’t show up when things collapse — it shows up the moment I get vulnerable.

When I speak from the heart. When I let something real rise to the surface — and don’t feel seen.

Not met. Not received.

That’s when the protector steps in.

It tighten the Belly,

Flattens the breath.

speeds up the mind.

-- judgments are becoming louder.

Not dramatic. Efficient.

It says: “Don’t show that part. Not now. Not here.”

And not in fear — more like strategy. A trained reflex.

This week, it crept in when I sat down to write.

I had just come back from a long walk — body relaxed, skin kissed by early sun.

The city felt soft that day. Sat down by the window, warmth on my face — and felt ready.

Ready to speak from the inside.

And then… nothing.

Flat.

Gone.

Blocked.

I paused. Waited. Listened.

There it was: the voice.

“Careful. What if no one gets it? What if this part stays invisible again?”

That’s what it comes down to.

Not fear of feeling — I can do that.

Fear of not being seen in it.

That’s when the protector locks in.

Keeps it all tidy. Keeps it all in.

I used to force myself through those moments. Push the words. Perform the depth.

Now, I breathe.

I ask it: “What are you protecting?”

(btw. click here to read an extended version of this topic on my blog)

And there it is — a younger part, folded in.

The one who spoke once and wasn’t heard.

The one who opened and was met with silence.

The one who decided: better stay sharp, better stay hidden.

That’s the protector.

Not the enemy. The bodyguard.

Not guarding my truth — guarding me from the ache of it not landing.

And that’s the work.

Not to override it.

To meet it. Gently.

To say: I see you first. Before anyone else does.”

So instead of pushing it aside, I stay.

With a hand on my body.

With the breath that’s still here.

With the tremble behind the silence.

So, let's bring this new work into a room.

A new format of listening A new workshop experience:

“Feel Your Body. Listen Deeper.”

I’m still looking for the right location — a place that feels right, simple, and clear.

If possible - July 25 (Berlin & Amsterdam)

The waitlist is already open.

We’ll explore how the body speaks.

How protection shows up.

And how to listen — gently, honestly, without needing to fix what’s alive.

I’m curious:

What does your protector look like?

How does it speak?

Where in your body do you feel it?

And — what might happen if you recognized it?

Write me. Share a word, a moment, a sentence. I read everything.

And this circle becomes real when you speak, too.

If you’re new here: Each month we circle around one theme - sometimes through stories, sometimes questions, sometimes practices. Soon I will provide a German Version as well - promised.
